Nov. 8, 2013 - Eastern Florida State College's women's basketball team lost its third straight game, falling 109-63 to defending state champion Gulf Coast State College on Friday's second day of the tournament at Chipola College in Marianna, FL.

Gulf Coast led at the half 54-30.

Eastern Florida, 1-3, wraps up the tournament at 3 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday against No. 10 nationally ranked Darton State College.

Freshman Jessica Doyle led Eastern Florida with 19 points, going three-for-four from the 3-point line and three-for-three from the free throw line.

Classmate Rhaven Kemp scored nine points and recorded five assists. Sophomore Tomoriya Hamm scored seven points on five-for-six from the free throw line, and grabbed seven rebounds.

"We didn't come out like we wanted from the jump, we have to find more heart and hustle in order for us to accomplish our goals this season," assistant coach Olivia Atwell said.

"The good thing is we have a chance to play on Saturday."

Eastern Florida returns home for its home opener on the Melbourne Campus at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday against the Webber International junior varsity. Admission is free. Eastern Florida's men play Pasco-Hernando Community College at 7:30.
