BCC Women's Basketball Adds Seventh Recruit in Bugarski

June 18, 2013 - Brevard Community College women's basketball head coach Jim Grimes continues to fill out his 2013-2014 roster announcing the signing of Kristina Bugarski of The Rock School in Gainesville.

Bugarski, a 6-foot forward is a native of Belgrade, Serbia.

"I am very excited to welcome Kristina to the Titan family," Grimes said. "She is a very skilled and I think that she will present matchup problems for our opponents.

"She is very hungry and is coming out of a great high school program at The Rock. Coach (Fabian) Chapov does a really great job there. She is home in Serbia now, but communicates with me about once a week. She is very excited to get to campus in August and get to work helping us build this program."

Bugarski averaged 8.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game and was a 70 percent free throw shooter at The Rock. She was the Tournament Most Valuable Player at The Bartow High School Thanksgiving Classic and helped The Rock School finish second in the Sunshine Independent Athletic Association state tournament.

Bugarski becomes the seventh recruit signed by Grimes, the others being Rhaeven Kemp of Jackson, TN; Kaneisha Atwater of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters Amber Daniels and Ashley Daniels of Murfreesboro, TN; Jessica Doyle of Palm Bay, FL and Dejah Bradshaw of Hialeah, FL.

BCC begins competing as Eastern Florida State College on July 1.
