BCC Women Lose at St. Petersburg 63-43

February 12, 2013 - Brevard Community College's women's basketball team lost its 22nd straight game on Tuesday falling 63-43 at St. Petersburg College.

BCC dropped to 2-25 overall and 0-12 in the Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference. St. Petersburg cemented its hold on first place improving to 12-0 in the conference and 21-6 overall.

Sophomore co-captain Kasie Berry led BCC with 18 points. Freshmen Kiersten Colghan and Netta Daly scored six apiece. Berry had eight rebounds and freshman Nia Frederick had six.

St. Petersburg led at the half 28-19.

BCC has three conference games remaining in it regular season. It hosts Indian River State College at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Melbourne Campus gym and Palm Beach State at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 for Sophomore Night. BCC concludes by visiting Miami Dade College in Kendall at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23.
