Lady Titans Knock Off Central Florida on the Road

November 17, 2012 - What a difference a day makes.

The BCC Lady Titans rebounded from a tough loss Friday night to defeat a very talented College of Central Florida team 62-61 on CCF’s home floor.

All-American candidate Shaneece Stephens was outstanding for BCC, scoring a game-high 24 points, and pulling down 5 boards. Kasie Berry joined Stephens in double figures with 11 points. Berry also lead the Lady Titans with 9 rebounds.

“We played with a lot of guts, and didn’t give up,” BCC women's basketball coach Renee Bellamy said. “I was really pleased with the team’s ability to make game adjustments and execute defensively. Our defense in the 2-1-2 made the difference in tonight’s game.”

The win ups BCC’s record to 2-3 on the year, and drops Central Florida to 2-4.

The Lady Titans are now off for 10 days, and return to action Tue., Nov. 27 to face off with CCF again in Ocala, for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
