Aug. 12, 2013 - Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Jeremy Shulman has landed a prize recruit in Demetrius McReynolds, a 6-foot, 1-inch shooting guard from Louisville, KY, Butler High School.

McReynolds averaged 19.8 points per game in helping the Butler Bears (24-8) to a Sixth Region Tournament runner-up finish last season.

Rated as one of the Top 25 players in Kentucky, McReynolds was recruited heavily by Murray State, Morehead State, Eastern Kentucky, Sanford, Valporaiso and Lamar, before not qualifying for NCAA Division I.

"We are very excited to sign Demetrius McReynolds," Shulman said. "Demetrius was one of the top players in the basketball-rich state of Kentucky, and brings great accolades here to Eastern Florida. Demetrius is a strong, physical guard who can flat out score the basketball."

McReynolds joins previous signees Tyrek Coger, Cam Scott, T.J. Cromer, Landus Anderson and Jermonh Queen.
