11 BCC Basketball Sophomores Will Be Recognized on Wednesday

February 19, 2013 - Brevard Community College's women's and men's basketball teams will bid farewell to a total of 11 sophomores on Wednesday.

The women will recognize six second-year players before their 5 p.m. game against Palm Beach State while the men will recognize five players before their 7 p.m. game against Broward State College.

Admission to the games is free.

The men can win their first Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference title since 2000 by defeating Broward.

Playing their final game for the women on their home court at the Melbourne Campus gym are Olivia Atwell, co-captain Kasie Berry, Ambra Martin, Briana Reeves, co-captain Shaneece Stephens and Shante' Stevenson.

Playing their final regular-season game for the men in the Melbourne Campus gym - where they are undefeated this season - are co-captain Nyles Evans, co-captain Gary Gaskins, Aldor Kola, Luka Pajkovic and co-captain Addison Spruill.

• Aldor Kola, 6'5, forward; Largo, FL, Chadron State: BCC's leading free throw shooter at 87 percent. Averaging 6.2 points per game.

• Luka Pajkovic, 6'3, guard; Belgrade, Serbia, Mississippi Valley State; Scored 25 points in the Florida JUCO Shootout victory over Tallahassee Community College.

• Addison Spruill, 6'4, guard/forward; Currie, NC; Pender High; Leading scorer at 16.5 points per game.
