The shutout, the third in five games for the Titans, dropped them to 7-9 and third place in the conference and 21-14 overall. First-place Miami Dade improved to 11-4 and 23-12 with its second straight victory over the Titans and its third in four games.
Eastern Florida has allowed 42 runs in the losing streak while scoring only five. The Titans had their chances on Saturday, rapping out nine hits to nine for Miami Dade. But Eastern Florida left 11 runners on base, including three in the ninth inning.
Miami Dade stranded seven as it took advantage of timely hitting and three Eastern Florida errors, giving the Titans eight errors in the last two games and 12 in the last four. Conversely several sparkling plays by Miami Dade's infielders kept the Titans at bay.
Jack Machonis and Nick Capra had two hits each for the Titans. Right-hander John Piriz took the loss for the Titans allowing five runs, six hits and walking two batters in 4 1/3 innings.
