Eastern Florida's Baseball Team Improves to 4-3 on the Season Beating Flagler's Junior Varsity

Feb. 13, 2014 - Eastern Florida's baseball team improved its record to 4-3 on Thursday as it defeated Flagler College's junior varsity 9-2 in St. Augustine.

Eastern Florida pounded out 15 hits while limiting Flagler to six. Eastern Florida was guilty of four errors and Flagler two.

Freshman Alessandro Lima went 5-for-5 for Eastern Florida with a double and a run batted in. Sophomore Austin Leeney went 3-for-5 with two runs batted in while sophomore Austin Pereira went 3-for-4 with a double and a run batted in.

Freshman Dulvis Borjas got the win pitching five innings and recording five strikeouts.

Next up for Eastern Florida is a Saturday doubleheader against the College of Central Florida beginning at noon at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne Campus. Admission is free.

Eastern Florida plays Community College of Baltimore County at 5 p.m. Monday in a game postponed from Friday due to weather than impeded CCBC's travel.
