BCC Baseball Drops 12-3 Decision to Palm Beach State
March 6, 2013 - Brevard Community College's Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference baseball losing streak reached four on Wednesday as the Titans dropped a 12-3 decision to visiting Palm Beach State.
The defeat at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne Campus dropped BCC to 2-4 in the conference and 10-12-1 overall. The loss was BCC's second to Palm Beach in two days – the Titans fell 9-6 in Lake Worth on Tuesday – and its ninth loss at home this season. Palm Beach improved to 4-2 in conference and 19-8 overall.
BCC was outhit 11-6 on Wednesday and committed five errors to one for Palm Beach. Only two of Palm Beach's runs were earned.
Kenton Hering was the losing pitcher for BCC. Offensively Matt Harris went 2-for-4.
"We need to forget this one," BCC head coach Jeff Tam said. "We could not play any worse. It all went wrong."
BCC is in action again on Friday and Saturday at conference foe Miami Dade College.
