Coach Restrepo played Varsity Baseball at Palm Bay High School as a pitcher, catcher, and first baseman from 1982-1984. As a pitcher, Coach Restrepo helped the Palm Bay Pirates to a Runner-Up finish in the 1984 Class 3A State Championships.

Coach Restrepo began coaching baseball at the youth level in 1996. During the Spring of 2001, Coach Restrepo founded the Space Coast Storm, a competitive travel baseball club. Over the ensuing five years, he coached the Storm to many tournament championships. In the Fall of 2005, Coach Restrepo led the Storm to an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) State Championship and a Sunshine Baseball League Championship. During the Summer of 2006, the Storm finished as the Perfect Game Elite 24 National Championship Runner-up and went on to capture the 2006 AAU National Championship. During his tenure as the head coach of the Space Coast Storm, he compiled a record of 164 wins against teams from 15 States, Puerto Rico, The Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas.
