Institutional Research at EFSC

Institutional Research (IR) is conducted through the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) at EFSC. Responsibilities of the IR include the production of regular reports, support for state and federal reporting requirements, and facilitating internal research projects. The OIE staff is available to support all phases of internal research projects from research design to literature review, to project implementation, and analysis of findings. In addition to supporting research throughout the college, the OIE staff serve as members of various committees at EFSC.

To encourage a culture of inquiry, the IR team supports the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at EFSC.  For more information on how to participate with OUR projects or on how to submit research proposals, see these web pages:

  • Office of Undergraduate Research – the OUR was established to organize, promote, and support student research
  • Institutional Review Board – The IRB reviews internal and external research proposals at EFSC

IR Survey Research

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) facilitates survey research for various departments throughout the College. Along with administering annual college wide surveys, the OIE will work with individual departments to develop and implement survey research. Once survey projects are fully approved, the OIE will help collect responses and analyze the results. In order to maximize our efforts to get quality results the following process has been developed to request new survey projects.
