Properly handling all materials & chemicals is key to safety.
The College is committed to providing a safe environment for the use of all chemicals through compliance with the Hazardous Communication Standard maintained by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Florida’s Right to Know law.
Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all required items are available from the College's Risk Manager through the contact information in the right column. The MSDS provides the information necessary to properly work with chemicals.
Those working with chemicals and hazardous materials are expected to comply with all safety recommendations specified in the MSDS, including the use of proper safety equipment, and following the sheet's specified means and methods for safe handling.
College Chemical Safety and Bio-hazards Guidelines
