MSSC/CPT Certification Course
The CPT Certification process at Eastern Florida State College focuses on the core technical competencies of the entry-level production worker and is applicable in all sectors of manufacturing. This course prepares the student to sit for the four Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) Production Technician certification assessments: Safety; Quality Practices & Measurement; Manufacturing Processes & Production; and Maintenance Awareness.

Eastern Florida State College is an approved testing site for EFSC students for the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council Certified Production Technician (MSSC-CPT). Assessments will be given after each unit in the certification course and coordinated through the testing lab. Participants who pass any of the four Production modules will be awarded certificates for each specific module. Those who pass all four core Production modules will be awarded a “Certified Production Technician (CPT)” credential.
The course is a 10-week synchronous online course where you will view and participate in a lecture twice a week from your own computer. During the lecture you may ask questions and have immediate response from your instructor. If you are unable to participate in the live lecture, a link will be available for viewing afterwards. At that point you may email your questions. Practice quizzes and vocabulary sheets are used to further prepare the student for each exam. Study labs will be scheduled where you may review and ask questions. Other labs may be scheduled as needed.

Earn College Credits
MSSC CPT certification is worth up to 15 credits toward an Engineering Technology Associate’s Degree at EFSC.

Step 1: Prospective participants in the MSSC-CPT course must complete the EDC Tuition Assistance Program form Sections 1-5 and Section 8, which reduces the program cost to $625 and submit the
