Welcome to 100% online Pre-Licensing Insurance courses with no classroom time required. We are here to help you jump-start and advance your career in the Florida insurance industry. Eastern Florida State College has partnered with OnLine Training to provide these State-approved quality online courses.

Please allow one to two business days to receive your username and password for any online insurance classes, keeping in mind that EFSC is closed Fridays. You have at least 90 days to complete your online Pre-Licensing Insurance courses from the time you register. Please note course end dates when you log-on to the course. Once your registration is processed for online insurance courses there are no refunds.

General Lines - Property & Casualty Agent (2-20)

200-hour State Approved Insurance Course

Interested in a wide-ranging career in the insurance industry? A General Lines Agent is the most comprehensive insurance license in the industry, giving you the ability to transact all aspects of property and casualty insurance. Transact any of the following kinds of insurance: property, casualty, surety, health and marine and miscellaneous lines.

This is a comprehensive 200-hour state-approved online insurance course. This course is in compliance with Florida educational requirements for the state exam. After successful completion, the student is eligible to sit for the General Lines Agents state examination. Textbook required: The Florida General Lines Agent and Customer Representative Study Manual, current edition.

Alternate pathways to licensure as a 2-20 agent: Students may  take the 4-40 Registered Customer Service Representative course or the 20-44 Personal Lines course, work for a year in that position, and then take the 40 hour 2-20 conversion course.  Students may also serve as a 1-20 Surplus Lines agent for a year and then take the 2-20 conversion 40 hour course to be eligible to sit for the General Lines Agents state examination.

Personal Lines - Property & Casualty Agent (20-44)

Interested in transacting property and casualty insurance sold to individuals and families for non-commercial purposes?

This comprehensive course will cover all aspects of property and casualty for non-commercial purposes, including: personal automobile, property insurance, inland marine, homeowners, dwelling and related coverages. This pre-licensing course is approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services, fulfills the state of Florida educational requirements, and prepares students to take the state exam.Textbook Required: The Florida General Lines Agent and Customer Representative Study Manual, current edition.

Work for a year as a Personal Lines (20-44) agent and then take the 2-20 conversion course to qualify for the 2-20 exam.

Customer Representative Designation (4-40) Exempt from State Exam

40-hour State Designation Insurance Course

Do you have great people skills? Then you might be a perfect fit for the Customer Representative (4-40) license. As a 4-40, you will be licensed to transact insurance under the supervision of a licensed General Lines Agent or agency.

This state approved course is known as the "Get Your Feet Wet" course of insurance where you can begin working in the field quickly and add additional licenses and responsibilities later. This is a state approved "designation" course. Successful completion of this course will entitle you to the Registered Customer Service Representative (RCSR) designation and exempt you from the state exam while properly preparing you for immediate entry into the insurance industry.
