Patrick AFB Access Procedures
As a secure U.S. military installation, Patrick Air Force Base requires a badge and a prior background check through the National Crime Information Center and Florida Crime Information Center (NCIC/FCIC) to attend EFSC classes on base. If a student does not already have approved base access, the badging process may take up to two weeks for the background check to be completed. Badges are issued for one term and background checks through the NCIC/FCIC databases are required each term regardless of whether it’s a renewal or a new badge request. Based on an individual's criminal history, the background check may preclude access to classes on base.
• Upon registering for an EFSC course located at Patrick AFB, contact the EFSC Patrick team as soon as possible at 321-433-5110 to discuss the base access process and to acquire the necessary form. Our team will also reach out to registered students to ensure proper access is in place.
To drive on base a student must have:
• Valid Driver’s License
• Vehicle Registration
• Current Proof of Insurance
Prior to the start of class students must obtain their badge from the Patrick AFB Main Gate located off of A1A. Badging Office hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. The Badging Office is closed on the third Friday of each month. It is recommended to call the Badging Office at 321-494-0427 to confirm the badge is ready prior to making a trip to pick it up.
