Information below applies only to accepted students:
Meet with the Pharmacy Technician Program Manager and Dean:
Dates will be provided to those students selected.
All accepted students will be required to submit a completed physical exam form with proof of immunizations and titers prior to entrance. (Physical exam forms will be available only to accepted students.) However, a physical exam and physician's statement may be required by the Admissions Committee if there is a question of the applicant's ability to meet established program Performance Standards / Job Description and Physical Demands.
All accepted students will be required to purchase the "accident" and "professional liability" insurance through EFSC. This insurance will be automatically attached to a class at registration. Health insurance is also strongly recommended.
All accepted students will be required to have a current American Heart Association course "BLS for Health Care Providers" CPR certification prior to start of fall semester (start of clinical portion of the program). This must be renewed every two years.
Background Check and Drug Screening (Criminal History Information Request):
All accepted students must pass a background check, a drug screening, and provide immunization records. Paperwork and instructions will be provided at new student orientation as well access to the vendor. Students are required to pay for these services. All students accepted must attend the mandatory orientation. At orientation, you will receive the necessary forms and have an opportunity to ask questions.
All general education and support courses must be successfully completed with a grade of "C" or better to satisfy Pharmacy Technician program requirements for graduation.
