Explore the Transportation and Logistics Career Field
The Transportation and Logistics degree program prepares students for careers in carrier management services and logistics management services including cargo, freight, inventory control, purchasing, storage, quality control, transportation, shipping and receiving and distribution. Careers utilizing this degree can be found in ports, railways, trucking operations and air cargo operations.
Graduates of this program will be prepared for potential entry-level positions such as analyst, buyer/planner, customer service representative, dispatcher, import/export clerk, inventory control specialist, logistics technician, master production scheduler, materials planner, purchasing assistant, shipping and receiving specialist, transportation planner or warehouse specialist.
Additionally, graduates will also be prepared to take certification exams in current industry certifications/licenses, or to continue on to a bachelor degree program in Organizational Management with a specialization in General Business or Sales and Marketing.
