How to Apply for Nails Specialty Program
Applicants for the Cosmetology, Facial & Nails Specialty programs are evaluated for admission based upon the Admission Criteria and Point System explained on these pages.
For selection you must satisfy program entrance requirements. Information is below
for each step you must complete to apply for the program. The Nails Specialty program
begins each August with a July 10 application deadline.

Apply for General Admission to EFSC
Complete the application for admission to Eastern Florida State College prior to program application deadline. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee for admission that must be submitted at the time of application to the college. This application is available on any of the campuses or it's easiest to apply online.
NOTE: You must only apply to EFSC for general admission if you are not currently enrolled with the College. If you’re a returning/readmit student who applied to EFSC one or more years ago and have not completed a course in the past year, you must re-apply and can do so online and will not be charged the general EFSC application fee.
Transcripts: ALL OFFICIAL college and/or high school transcripts or GED scores must
be sent to:

a. Transfer students: Request all previous schools to send an official copy of all transcripts to the EFSC Admission's Office.
b. International students: If you attended high school and/or college in a country other than the United States, when you submit your transcripts you must speak to the International Student Service Advisor to determine any further steps that must be taken to determine your grade point average and transfer credits.
Complete Application for Nail Specialty Program
Submit an application for Nails Program, which is available online, before the July 10 application deadline. If you need assistance with this application or cannot apply online, contact the program specialist.
This application must be properly submitted by the application deadline, July 10 (program begins in August), after you have become an EFSC student. The application must specify which program the student is applying for. If the student is interested in multiple programs within Cosmetology, the student is required to submit a separate application packet for each desired program.
An UNOFFICIAL copy of each and every college transcript is required with the program application. Unofficial EFSC transcripts can be accessed at www.floridashines.org.
Take the TABE Test
Take the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE) and submit the scores to Program Specialist Kendra Hart, Cocoa Campus, Bldg. 20, Room 124-B, 321-433-7549 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. This exam is for program admission points, and is not required to exit the program. The TABE must have been taken within the last TWO  years.
