Step 1:  Check Deadlines, Request & Review Info Packet & Work with Advisor

Application Deadlines
  • July 10: Fall Term (August start date) - Full-time Day Class
  • November 10: Spring Term (January start date) - Full-time Night Class

Request the Aerospace Degree Information Packet: This will open an email to the program advisor. Please include your name, phone number and email in the note you send, along with any initial questions.

Because this is a limited access program with many variables and a special application requirement, it's important for prospective students to receive advising from the program advisor, Phil Sweeney. You can request an appointment in the same email request for the Information Packet or call or email to set up an appointment.

Step 2:  Apply for General Admission to Eastern Florida State College

Complete and properly file the application for general admission to Eastern Florida State College, prior to the program application deadline. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee for admission that must be submitted at the time of application to the college. This application is available online. Complete all admissions requirements with the General Admissions office.

Note: This step pertains ONLY to those students who are not currently enrolled with the college. If you're a returning/readmit student who applied to EFSC one or more years ago and have not completed a course in the past year, you must re-apply and can do so online and will not be charged the general EFSC application fee.

Step 3:  Verify General Admissions Requirements

ALL OFFICIAL college and/or high school transcripts or GED scores must be sent to:
College Admissions Office
Eastern Florida State College
1519 Clearlake Road
Cocoa, Florida 32922

Once accepted into EFSC, verify with the Admissions Office that you have met all outstanding college admissions requirements. Check for Registration Holds that may prevent you from registering for courses. Click to learn more about how to clear holds.

Step 4:  Testing Requirements

A common placement test, such as the Florida Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT), SAT or ACT, is a program requirement unless a student is exempt.

Visit EFSC's Placement Testing web page for more information.

Step 5:  Complete the Program Application

Complete the online Career & Technical/Trades Application. This application is in addition to the general EFSC application and MUST be properly submitted by the application deadline (See Step 1 for deadlines). It can be submitted while you are completing general EFSC admissions requirements.

If you need assistance with the online application or cannot register online, contact the program advisor for other arrangements.
