Tutoring and testing information

We try to provide as much open tutoring time as possible. Be advised that the reading/writing lab may be minimally staffed at some times due to classes we support. Also, not all math tutors are familiar with all levels of math; some may be volunteers and student peer tutors. We will do our best to team you with someone who is familiar with the level of math you are enrolled in. Summer tutoring times are as follows:

Math Tutoring:
  • Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 8 PM
Business Tutoring:
  • Monday/Wednesday, 8 AM to 3 PM
  • Tuesday/Thursday,  12 PM to 7 PM

Reading and Writing tutoring is available at the Melbourne Campus Writing Center.  Building 2, Room 125.

No appointments are necessary. Tutoring is offered on a first come/first served basis and is dependent on tutor availability. We'll attempt to help you as quickly and professionally as we can. Please communicate your needs and be patient. Individual tutoring time may be limited during times when there are others waiting to be helped, for example, during midterms and finals. Also, consider contacting your instructor for assistance during his or her published advising/office hours.

Proctored Testing

All e-Learning, make-up and external testing for the Melbourne Campus is conducted by the e-Learning department in Building 10, Room 218.

Please schedule your e-learning exam using the e-learning scheduling system online. You can learn more about this process on the eLearning Proctored Exam web page.

Students attending other institutions who need a proctored exam for a non-EFSC course must  download and submit the External Institution Exam Request form. The form contains additional information about the process. After completing the downloaded form, save it, attach it to an email and send to the email address on the form. The External Testing Office will contact you.
